The 2017 Adastra Pinot Noir is pale, ruby red in color and light-medium in body.  A wine of good typicity, it has aromas of strawberries, black cherries, plums and licorice bark, along with hints of spice.  On the palate, cherries, plums, spice and a mushroom element; there is a slight youthful, Marmite-y yeastiness on the edges which fades with decanting/age.  A good match for a wide range of foods, this wine is enjoyable now and will cellar well.

The 2018 Boundless Optimism Rosé of Pinot Noir is our second rosé made from the Swan selection of grapes from the Adastra Vineyard.  The wine has delightful aromas of grapefruit, strawberry, citrus and red apple; fullish in body for a rosé, mouthwatering flavors of pink grapefruit and citrus predominate on the palate, along with a hint of spice.  150 cases crafted.

The 2016 Ed's Red is an enticing, flavorful and full-bodied wine in the Ed's Red tradition, with aromas and flavors that include plums, cherries and spice. Absent mammoth (or vegetarian equivalent) the wine pairs well with a wide range of cuisine and is enjoyable any day of the week.

A delicious, complex wine with fruit aromas that include citrus, white peach, green apple and pear, along with hints of allspice, brioche and toasty oak. A textured palate includes fruit, mineral and oak components. Very well-balanced, pairs well with many cuisines, including fish, white meat and certain vegetarian dishes.

This unoaked Chardonnay has aromas of green apple (Granny Smith's), grapefruit and peach, along with floral and honeyed elements. An intense, concentrated core includes honey, mango and buttered toast. Refreshing and easy to enjoy on its own or with food.

The 2016 Adastra Pinot Noir is a delightfully smooth Pinot Noir of good typicity.  Pale ruby red in color, this medium-bodied wine has enticing aromas of strawberries, black cherries and rose petals, along with hints of sassafras, forest floor and mushrooms.  Beautifully balanced with a lingering finish, this wine can be enjoyed on its own or with food.

Dark ruby in color, the 2014 Adastra Merlot has aromas of black cherry and plumes, with hints of cedar, vanilla, black currant and slate.. Medium in body, the wine is nicely textured with an array of flavors including dark fruit, black olives, licorice and spice. The wine finishes smoothly with lingering notes of mocha and dark chocolate.

Composed of Swan and Domaine de la Romanée Conti Pinot Noir field selections, the 2014 Pinot Noir is a medium-bodied wine with an intense core and fine typicity.  An enticing mix of fruit and spice, with aromas of strawberries, cranberries, cherries and baking spices, the wine also has earthy notes and a hint of licorice bark.  This well-balanced wine can be enjoyed on its own, but will go well with a broad range of food.  It has a long, savory finish.

With the 2015 Boundless Optimism Glorious River, aromas of blueberry, boysenberry, Fuji apple, cherry and plum mingle with those of coffee and graphite.  On the palate flavors of fruits and vanilla predominate.  The sweetness of the fruit combines beautifully with the softness of the integrated tannins, creating a superbly balanced wine that is enjoyable now, but will continue to improve for a number of years.  A blend of 42% Malbec, 18% Petit Verdot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.  The Malbec and Petit Verdot come from an Oak Knoll, Napa Valley vineyard.  The Cabernet comes from two Atlas Peak, Napa Valley properties.  75 cases crafted.

The 2014 Optimism Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium-bodied wine, blackberry in color, and complex in content.  It has a range of aromas including raspberries, black berries, cherries, sage, bell pepper, graphite and cassis.  On the palate the wine is seamlessly smooth, with the silkiness of the finest milk chocolate.

The 2015 Adastra Pinot Noir is an intense, brooding wine with a lingering finish.  Ruby red in color, the wine has a complex nose which includes strawberry, plum, sassafras, tobacco, spice and floral aromas.  Medium in body, the wine is seamless and smooth on the palate with a mouthwatering finish. Delicious on its own, excellent with food.

This beautifully balanced wine has aromas of coconut, mineral, citrus, golden delicious apple and toasted cashews, along with hints of nutmeg and all spice. Citrus and apple elements appear on the palate, along with apricot, pineapple, mango and toasty notes. The wine is nicely weighted and can be enjoyed on its own with a wide array of foods.

A combination of Old Wente, Dijon 76 and Dijon 96 from Adastra's CCOF-certified organic vineyard, the 2017 "America, America" was aged in two oak barrels made in Benicia, California, by cooper Tonnellerie O. One barrel was from Missouri-grown oak, the other from Virginia-grown oak. Harvested on September 21, 2017, the wine was barrel fermented and stirred on the lees. It was aged for 15.5 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered on January 18, 2019. Only 43 cases were crafted.
